Dr. Greg Harr believes great dentistry starts with treating every patient the way he would treat his own family, with honesty, compassion, and excellence. He has been serving patients at Family First Dentistry since 2005 and is passionate about helping people feel comfortable, confident, and well cared for. He has helped thousands of Alaskans restore their health and confidence through modern, patient-centered dental care.
He completed his Bachelor degree in Zoology from Brigham Young University and continued his Doctorate degree at Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry. Dr. Harr combines advanced clinical skills with a genuine desire to serve others. While he enjoys all aspects of dentistry, he has a particular passion for surgical procedures such as dental implants, bone grafting, and wisdom teeth removal. He enjoys helping patients restore function, health, and confident smiles.
Originally from Utah, Dr. Harr moved to Alaska immediately after dental school and quickly fell in love with the people, the community, and the outdoors. Faith, integrity, and strong family values shape the way he practices dentistry and leads his team. He and his wife (his best friend since they were 14 years old) have built a busy and joyful life raising their six boys. When he’s not at the office, you’ll likely find him outdoors with his family snowmachining, four-wheeling, or cheering on his boys in football, basketball, and track.

Michael Madsen, DDS
Dr. Michael Madsen was born and raised in Sacramento, California. He graduated from University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, CA. Prior to dental school, he received a Bachelors of Science from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
Dr. Madsen knows that dental visits can be intimidating. He enjoys listening to his patients and creating an environment where they feel comfortable, heard, educated, and excited about their treatment. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry including creating beautiful esthetic smiles. He takes great pride in caring for everyone as if they were a member of his own family.
He is married to his wife Elizabeth and together they have three wonderful boys and two very energetic dogs. When not in the office Dr. Madsen can be found spending time outdoors with his family. He loves music and enjoys swimming, biking, running, fishing, skiing, and everything Alaska has to offer.
Kent Newell, DMD
Dr. Newell was born and raised in Utah. He did his undergraduate studies at The University of Utah where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. He attended Dental School at Temple University graduating Cum Laude in 2008. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry and the positive impacts it can have on patients’ lives.
Dr Newell is passionate about building relationships with patients helping to educate them on their oral health and the connection it has with full body health. He loves serving the people in Anchorage and the greater Alaskan communities.
Dr. Newell and his wife Robyn have five children and three grandchildren.When he is not practicing dentistry he loves to enjoy the Alaskan outdoors. You can often find him, skiing, mountain biking, hiking, or fishing in this beautiful state!
